Pink… Not the Answer to Cancer
PINK IS NOT THE ANSWER TO CANCER
It has been 38 years since Susan G Komen’s first run...People have been running for the cure since 1983 with the very best of intentions. They are still running.
Thank you to everyone that ran who was on a mission to do something great for the cause, show support for a loved one, or be a part of something where we thought it would make an incredible difference we could find a cure. I even did a couple of these runs/ walks myself.
Beautiful Baggage
I see a red flag when someone says "He or she's got too much baggage." I have learned that often it means they have a very critical nature and are not deeply empathetic or sympathetic about the life experiences of others.
Tenth Anniversary Cancer-Free
Cancer-free since 2011. I am always sensitive to everybody still trying to heal cancer. I want the same for everyone and I pray this post gives hope and inspiration to people!
I do not believe that healing is spontaneous even though individuals like me who beat it without chemotherapy are put in that category I believe there is so much more to healing than just the physical healing. I addressed other areas as well such as healing emotionally from unresolved trauma, growing in faith spiritually, and mentally I changed my mindset to positive thinking.
A Wish Come True
I am cancer-free for 10 years! I made choices for five years starting in 2006 in Tacoma WA, then continued to Seattle WA, then UCLA, and finally, in September 2010 I was facing advanced stage 4 breast cancer and was told that I only had 3-12 months to live. I never gave up and went on to CMN Hospital in San Luis Rio Colorado Mexico where I did alternative cancer treatments. I have NEVER done chemotherapy and am so grateful to be healthy today with cancer far behind me now.
The Full Armor Of God
In any battle, the enemy will find an advantage to strike the unprepared. When you're wounded, feeling worthless and worrying. He hopes you've lost faith. He'll use your finances, relationships and create chaos and confusion hoping you'll break.
Husband Appreciation Day April 17
Husband Appreciation Day April 17, 2021- A Say of Deep Reflection of all the Reasons I Am Blessed to Have My Husband. Oh, What a Blessing God Gave Me, and Each Day the Blessings Grow with Our Love. ~Your Belle
The Good The Bad and The Ugly
I am sick and tired of the few cancer survivors who lose their manners towards another cancer survivor. I know it's because they're scared- I know fear, but it never made me rude to another survivor."This morning, a woman, in particular, was rude towards me." I went through a healthy emotion I will not hold in because all of our feelings are valid, and we need to process them.
Twins Beat Cancer
This is us in a video conversation. Twin sisters with the same breast cancer, including the percentage of estrogen and progesterone (95% and 90%) We were blessed to both heal from
Dreams Do Come True
Michael, my kind, strong, compassionate husband, you are proof of dreams coming true. I admire and respect you for your great noble character, morals, values, work ethics, and faith in God. You are consistent in character, and that is so important these days. It means I can count on your word and so do others
I Never Knew Real Love
The most peaceful, happiest, exciting part of my day! My wonderful husband. Every day I look at that clock to see how much longer until we are together. I stay busy, of course. The conversations between Michael and me are of a caring nature. The way he asks about my day and listens carefully. That means so much to me. We take time, every single day, right after work. But he leads best in that area. I love hearing about his days and his expression here I just had to capture- I sometimes have to sneak and pick up my phone and quickly capture this compassionate man’s face,
Mother’s Connection With Child
When a woman is pregnant, the baby's cells do something fascinating called fetal-maternal “microchimerism.” The baby’s cells migrate into the mother's bloodstream and then circulate and merge backward and forwards between mother and baby for 41 weeks. After the baby is born, many of these cells stay in the mother’s tissues, bones, brain, and skin and often remain there for decades, leaving a permanent imprint on the mother.
The Power of Believing in The Prayer From Others
People are always telling me that they are praying for me, but I doubt they really are!” First of all, that feeling says so much more about where we are on the cancer journey. To think you are not being prayed for is just an assumption while you are going through a difficult time. The feeling of anger and doubt are normal, but it's important to recognize that you do not have any way of knowing whether or not some is praying for you, and questioning it is wasting precious time by doubting others' love towards you. I pray every night for everyone who has contacted me with cancer. The list only grows longer, and it
Big Family, Small House
I grew up with four brothers and sisters and very humble beginnings. My twin sister and I had dresser drawers for a bed when we were babies. Four of us kids were in diapers at the same time, and my parents could not afford a washing machine.
Superman
If I fell off of a building and Superman flew through the sky and scooped me up before my fatal crash, he’d be my hero! I feel the same loyalty to the doctor who saved my life. People ask me about other oncologists, and I don’t know because they did not save me from stage 4 cancer. Stage 4 is terrifying and
Snack Attack
Tonight, I was craving a cheeseburger so bad that it was ridiculous! My husband and I were already in bed, and Michael was exhausted! My stomach would not stop growling; It was so loud! I told him, “I’m so hungry! I’m craving a cheeseburger!” Michael offered to get me a cheeseburger but tiredly said, “Honey, If I get you a yummy surprise instead, will that help?” I said
Our Soul Purpose
I've got a heart, it's loaded, and I'm not afraid to use it! Pay attention to your soul. It competes with your brain. Your soul is not your arms, legs, or head. Your soul is residing in and all-around your body. Listen to what it is trying to say to you. You have a purpose
Happy Birthday Dad
Dad, you always try to view us through God's eyes. What a great example. You admit you are not perfect, which teaches humbleness and that it is okay to make mistakes. You know me and answer my questions with patience, love, concern, and honesty. There are no words to capture all that I feel for you, dad;
