One of the few people to ever have survived a stage 4 cancer diagnosis of any kind, much less breast and lung cancer. Shannon is a devoted human being whose coaching helped me tremendously, which included listening, coaching, respecting, and being a guiding light to those of us In a dark, often cold world. Shannon is well-versed and EXTREMELY compassionate when it comes to accepting and supporting the decisions I made and other women facing cancer make. I wasn’t used to that. Through her own personal experience, Shannon is more than a testament to the faith and hope the alternative medicine route to healing cancer chose. She taught me all that is required and, taught me self-compassion while also showing me at the same time, the respect and dignity one deserves in the choices one makes. Also, she’s a tremendous support to our loved ones dealing with emotionally tough times. She has the ability to enlighten those who love us on how to love and support one’s decision for cancer treatment when it’s not the decision they would choose for us. That’s one hell of a tough question because it’s no easy feat! How does someone do what so many others cannot do? Her coaching style showed me how to better manage my family and to learn how to love them and value their well-intended advice without feeling forced to take it and learn how to sow I appreciated it even if my family doesn’t agree. Shannon shines a bright light on all these scenarios and issues, and hard questions providing answers with hope and compassion. As much as cancer touches our lives and the lives of people around us, everybody should hear her story and meet her so know there is light at the end of the tunnel, there is hope, and there are answers we can all embrace and accept to help us get through it.
