I Love Us More Every Day.

Every day, my love for us deepens and keeps flourishing. I believe it's because of our shared faith, politics, interests, and even our taste in music, puzzles, playing cards or Yahtzee. The thought of being apart is unimaginable and I have never gone through this extraordinary connection in my entire life.

Recently, Michael and I discussed what we cherish most about each other, and it was heartwarming and exciting to find that they align perfectly, deepening our connection beyond the superficial. This shared understanding has not only reshaped how we view our pasts, giving them purpose, but has also strengthened my relationships with my family. It's about acceptance more than anything.

Our bond, rooted in faith and shared with God, is the strongest connection I've ever experienced! Having a husband who cares and leads me in faith has been my rock, especially through the scarier challenges our nation has been going through.  For our personal lives, it has enabled insight, gratitude, and forgiveness, even without apologies from those who have wronged us. Instead, we feel healed and no longer need external validation.

We read together from our daily devotionals, scripture readings, and pray together which bring us even closer, aligning us spiritually and emotionally. Praying with Michael is a source of comfort and my greatest blessing, helping us navigate everything life throws our way.

United in faith and adorned in the full armor of God, we wholeheartedly accept His divine plan for us as husband and wife. Even in moments of pain, we find strength, comforted by the knowledge that it is temporary and clarity will emerge. Despite the challenges over the years, my heart is filled with gratitude. Michael, my son, my daughter, and my precious grandchildren are the perpetual sources of my most profound joy and love. Uniting with his family has been an additional blessing and a practice of balancing between marriage and family relationships.

As we grow older and wiser together, our love continues to deepen and flourish. We have learned to appreciate each other's strengths and weaknesses, providing support where needed while also giving each other space to grow and evolve. Our marriage is a partnership built on trust, communication, and unwavering commitment to God and each other.

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
