How the HEART Chart Works
Take a deep breath…
Before we begin, picture yourself here—not as someone watching from the sidelines, but as someone stepping forward, choosing to walk this path for herself. We're setting out on a journey, but this isn’t just any road. This is the road that brought you here—twisting, unexpected, and beautiful in ways you might not have recognized before.
This journey is about looking back with new eyes, finally seeing that every step mattered. Healing isn't just about getting through things; it's about recognizing where you've been, how far you've come, and uncovering strength you didn't even know you possessed.
That’s why I created the HEART Chart—not to measure success, but to gently trace your healing, your faith, and the growth you’ve experienced even when you thought you were standing still. This is about learning to see your own story differently.
Walking Through Your HEART Chart, Step by Step
This isn’t a race. There’s no finish line or deadline to "fix" anything. This journey moves at the pace your heart needs, one step at a time.
Each week, we pause at different points along the road—not to dwell there, but to understand and find meaning. We look back, not with regret, but with fresh eyes and new awareness. We talk, we reflect, and we allow ourselves to feel what we’ve been carrying. Gradually, the map of your life begins to make sense in ways it never has before.
The Five Steps of Your HEART Chart
Milestone One: Fear
We start where fear kept you standing still, where it convinced you that moving forward wasn’t safe. Fear lies to us, but this week we bring those fears into the light, discovering where faith offers another path.
Milestone Two: Self-Criticism
We face the critical voice that says you're not enough, that everyone else has it figured out, and gently step away from its harshness toward the truth—how God sees you, how you were meant to see yourself all along.
Milestone Three: Faith
Faith is the road beneath our feet when we can’t see what's ahead. Sometimes, we only recognize faith in hindsight. This week, we'll revisit moments where faith carried you—even when you weren’t sure it was there. And if faith has felt distant, we'll start gently finding it again.
Milestone Four: Self-Compassion
We often offer kindness and grace easily to others yet withhold it from ourselves. This week, we gently release that burden. We see clearly that self-compassion isn't weakness—it’s the quiet strength that helps us move forward.
Milestone Five: God’s Purpose
Finally, we look back at the road with new clarity. The things that felt random—the detours, the hard stretches—weren’t mistakes. They led you here, precisely to this moment. This week is about seeing clearly how nothing was wasted and how God has been lovingly guiding your life all along.
Each step builds on the last. Each milestone moves us closer to deeper understanding and healing.
Why the HEART Chart Matters
I don’t want you to walk away wondering, Was I really different after this? Did anything actually change? Your HEART Chart provides visual proof—from yourself—that you've changed and grown.
Healing often happens quietly, subtly, even invisibly. But when you trace your steps, when you put it all down and look at where you started, you see clearly that moments you thought were breaking you were actually building you. Times when you felt lost were moments when you were truly being guided.
Looking Back and Seeing God’s Hand in My Life
I’ve walked this road myself. I’ve stood in places that made no sense at the time, wondering how I'd ever move forward. But looking back now, I don’t see random events or broken pieces—I see a meaningful story, guided by the steady, gentle hand of God, even when I didn’t feel it.
And that's exactly what I want for you. I want you to see your story differently—to recognize turning points, quiet strength, and places where God guided you, even when you didn’t know it. This isn’t about rewriting your past; it’s about understanding it in a new, compassionate way.
Take a deep breath. You are already further along than you think.

SHANNON KNIGHT'S HEART CHART
Shannon Knight’s HEART Chart Explained
When you look at my HEART Chart, you're seeing more than dates and colors—you’re seeing my personal journey through deeply emotional and spiritual milestones. The lines represent how intensely I experienced each of these five milestones during significant life events:
Fear
Self-Criticism
Faith
Self-Compassion
Understanding God's Purpose
What the Dates and Letters Represent:
Each date along the bottom is a significant event in my life—a Landmark. To respect my privacy, these are simply marked by letters (A, B, C, etc.). Typical landmarks in your own chart might include:
Marriage or Divorce
Birth of a child
Loss of a loved one
Traumatic events or difficult memories
Significant moves or job changes
Major achievements or celebrations
Serious illnesses or healing experiences
How to Read the Chart:
Each colored line represents a milestone.
Higher points indicate greater emotional intensity or impact at the time.
Lower points show less emotional intensity during those events.
You might notice:
Red (Fear) and Yellow (Self-Criticism) lines rise during challenging times.
Blue (Faith), Green (Self-Compassion), and Purple (God’s Purpose) lines increase as healing and understanding deepen.
Why Your HEART Chart Matters:
Creating your own HEART Chart helps visually trace your emotional and spiritual journey. You'll clearly see how experiences you thought were breaking you were actually building resilience, clarity, and faith. Moments when you felt lost were gently guiding you toward deeper purpose.
My Hope for You:
As you create your chart, I want you to recognize your own strength, your resilience, and how far you've come. My deepest hope is that you’ll look at your journey with compassion and see clearly the loving presence of God throughout your life.
Warmest Wishes!
Shannon
